Owner & Coach - Shavonne Leacy
Shavonne is the founder and director of Boston Selects Girls Hockey, a premier spring and summer program focused on elite competition, player development, and expanding opportunities for female hockey players during the off season.
After her playing experience as a Division 1 player at UConn, she transitioned into coaching, helping grow the game in New Jersey with the Princeton Tiger Lilies and as head coach at Princeton Day School, where she led the team to a league championship in 2024. Over the last nine years, she has coached at various camps and clinics, refining players’ skills and hockey IQ at all levels.
Shavonne recently made history by launching the first-ever girls’ program at Boston Hockey Academy under the guidance of Nate Bostic (Owner of Boston Hockey Academy). After a successful inaugural season, she is leading the expansion to 16U and 14U teams, strengthening the academy’s development pipeline. Boston Hockey Academy (BHA) is a premier AAA hockey organization offering a rigorous full-season schedule, daily training, a private accredited hybrid education, state-of-the-art facilities, and fully equipped apartment-style dormitories.
